Caring And Loving Mission Philippines

Caring and Loving Mission Philippines, Inc. is a non-profit corporation registered in the Republic of the Philippines. It operates under the name of CALM Philippines. CALM Philippines was formed by Juanito Magbanua and grew out of the work Juanito has been doing since 1984 to advance the gospel. CALM Philippines is led by a board of five directors, each of whom is a leader in one of the local churches. The board works along with Juanito to direct the work of CALM.

CALM Philippines USA, Inc. is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States. Its mission is to promote CALM Philippines and solicit funds to provide support of the work done in the Philippines. CALM Philippines USA is under the authority of a board of directors. 

Juanito has been instrumental in starting the churches that CALM supports. He travels most weekends to the various churches providing encouragement and leadership to the congregations.

Juanito Magbanua received his Bachelor of Theology degree a Cebu Bible Seminary in 1979. During his last year at Cebu, he served as an intern at Fere Plains Church at Bacalod and then joined as Associate Minister upon graduation. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City in 1983. He was pastoring a church at Bacay at this time.

He moved to Panay Island in 1984 to begin his mission work. His
first pioneering church was at Taft North in Iloilo City. This is still his
home church; he worships, and often speaks, at Taft North when he is not speaking at other churches. Juanito received special training in Radio Broadcasting at the Communication Foundation for Asia in Manila in 1989. He earned a Master of Ministry degree from Manila Bible Seminary in 2005. He was trained at an Advanced Leadership Seminar at Haggai Institute at Maui, Hawaii in 2010.

There are now 26 churches on the Panay and Guimaras islands that
Juanito works with through CALM Philippines..

CALM Philippines works primarily in the five provinces on Panay, Guimaras, and Boracay Islands and other islets in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

Aklan – Population: 574,823, 14 municipalities, 6 churches

Antique – Population: 582,012, 18 municipalities, 1 church

Capiz – Population: 761,384, 16 municipalities, 1 city: Roxas City, 2 churches

Iloilo – Population: 2,261,042, 42 municipalities, 1 city: Iloilo City, 16 churches

Guimaras – Population: 173,613, 5 municipalities, 1 church
